About the Show:

Billy Crocker, a young Wall Street assistant, discovers that the woman he has fallen in love with, Hope Harcourt, is sailing to England aboard the S.S. American. The problem? Hope is engaged to the wealthy and proper English nobleman, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, in a marriage arranged to help save her family's finances.

Determined to win Hope's heart, Billy secretly stows away on the ship. Along the way, he teams up with his old friend Reno Sweeney, a charismatic nightclub singer, and the comically inept gangster Moonface Martin and his partner Erma. Together they hatch one outrageous plan after another to keep Hope and Evelyn apart.

As the voyage continues, disguises, mistaken identities, and hilarious misunderstandings pile up. Billy is repeatedly mistaken for a notorious criminal, while Moonface's schemes become increasingly absurd. Meanwhile, unexpected friendships and romances develop, and even the seemingly stuffy Lord Evelyn begins to discover what he truly wants.
